In a world where money, corporations and persons operate globally, investigative journalists have to do the same. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) examines cross-border issues such as illegal fishing, money laundering and large-scale tax evasion by well-known brands like Vodaphone, Apple and Skanska.
Following in the footsteps of world-shaking investigations #Swissleaks and #Luxleaks, ICIJ on April the 3rd presented it’s biggest scoop so far: #PanamaPapers, the result of more than 370 reporters from 78 countries working together for more than eight months.
Here, four members of the network discuss cross-border collaboration; how to organize it, and how to keep secrecy.
